The Royal Commonwealth Society is an international charity that supports and promotes the modern Commonwealth as a “Family of Nations” linked by a shared inheritance of common values, institutions and language. The Royal Commonwealth Society Newfoundland and Labrador Branch echoes this mission in its work to promote the Commonwealth throughout the province.
A core program of the Newfoundland and Labrador Branch is CHOGM on the Rock, an annual forum for youth aged 15-24 modeled on the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. Delegates represent a Commonwealth Country and simulate the Commonwealth’s biennial decision making forum. Participants have the opportunity to make backroom deals, discuss at the table with all other nations, connect with representatives, learn, experience, and grow.
