The Royal Commonwealth Society is an international charity that supports and promotes the modern Commonwealth as a “Family of Nations” linked by a shared inheritance of common values, institutions and language. This “Commonwealth legacy” includes: Parliamentary Democracy, The Rule of Law, Human Rights and the recognition of His Majesty the King as Head of the Commonwealth.
The Manitoba Branch upholds these values with its programming, which includes the annual Commonwealth Day Observance Service. The branch also keeps us informed on developments throughout the Commonwealth with the Commonwealth Observer, a monthly news circular edited by past chair Murray Burt.
